Here are some of my favorite products on the market. Both in my own home and my greatest recommendations for clients! – Enjoy!
BabbleRoo Diaper Bag
A bag for baby essentials on the go, is a must! BabbleRoo makes a few bags including a larger and smaller tote and a backpack. The large tote is my favorite! It has a deep main compartment, and several pockets both inside and out to help keep you organized. It comes with a small changing pad and extra straps to easily hang it on a stroller while on the go. There is more than enough space of all the baby essentials.
Baby Bum Diaper Clutch
This little bag is amazing! It is the perfect size for diapers, wipes, and even an extra outfit or burp cloth! I easily keep about a half pack of wipes, 5-6 diapers and a little outfit in it at all times. It is compact and easy to grab on the go. It also has a small zip pocket in the back that easily fits IDs, cash, keys, etc. I throw this clutch in our diaper bag and grab it for quick diaper changes or trips into stores when I do not need anything else from our bigger bag.
WubbaNub
Let’s face it, some of our kids simply love pacifiers. My son is certainly one of them! I love the Wubanub pacifiers. They are the perfect shape to avoid any “nipple confusion” or palate issues. The animal on the end allows you to prop it up on baby to avoid the constant fuss of replacing it when it falls out of Baby’s mouth. They are easy to wash and hard to lose! (Use the pacifier-only version for safe sleep practices at night!)
Water Wipes
If there is anything I repeatedly recommend to clients, friends and other expecting moms, it is these wipes! Water wipes are truly made with only water. There are no chemicals, fragrances or dyes in them. They have been noticeably helpful in getting rid of and avoiding diaper rashes. These wipes are even gentle enough to use on everything! I use them to wipe down my sons hands and face throughout the day and trust that they will not dry out his skin or put added chemicals on his hands or in his mouth.
Copper Pearl Premium Burp Cloths
The Copper Pearl Premium Burp Cloths are one of the most popular baby products on the market. Copper Pearl burp cloths are larger than others sold and come in several super cute patterns. The fabric of these burp cloths is thick and holds up very well for everyday use.
Woombie
There are so many different types of sleep sacks out there. They come in all different shapes and fittings. Some are perfect for specific ages and developmental stages, while others just do not work for certain babies. While there are three that I absolutely love and recommend, the woombie is my favorite for newborns. It most closely represents the comfort, pressure and space of the womb. It allows baby to comfortably and safely wiggle around and transition into the world outside the womb. The larger sizes 3-6m+ have sides that unsnap, allowing you to free Baby’s arms, as he/she begins to roll. This is the perfect transition swaddle for all ages.
Ubbi Diaper Pail
The Ubbi diaper pail is by far, the only diaper pail that is worth the money! There are no special bags required and fits a standard kitchen trash bag. The steel pail locks in smells and is quiet to open and close. It also closes securely with a lock if necessary. It holds a substantial amount of disposable diapers and comes in multiple colors. You can use any regular kitchen sized trash bags and these fresheners are a must!
Abiie Beyond Wooden High Chair
This highchair the best! It is super easy to clean, looks nice in the home and comes in different wood stains and seat colors. Abiie sells several cushion sets to fit any comfort level. It is completely adjustable to fit Baby from 6 months old, through adult hood. (Seriously!) It grows with baby, turning into a toddler chair and eventually an adult dining chair. A little plus for the Montessori parents out there, this highchair is Montessori approved!
Gb Pockit Stroller
There are many compact strollers on the marker and we bought this one strictly based off of reviews. We are so glad we did! It is exactly what we needed in an on the go stroller and is well worth the price. It folds up small enough to fit in a tote bag and unfolds into a sturdy stroller for infants and toddlers. This is our go to for travel and especially flights! It is quick to fold and unfold and has plenty of storage below, when opened. GB also sells a convenient carrying backpack, bug net, rain cover and larger sun shade to fit the Pockit Stroller.
Little Egg Night Light
This is one of my favorite little gadgets that we have. This night light is shaped like a little egg, holds an outstanding charge and can easily be switched from an LED bright white, to an off white colored light. Each color has multiple dim to bright options, easily changed by the tap of your fingers. Initially it is a great source of light for the middle of the night feeds and then as baby grows, it’s a great night light to either leave on (with its timer) or to use during your bedtime routine.
Baby Deedee Sleepsie Quilted Footie Pajamas
Baby Deedee makes amazing pajamas (and sleep sacks for older babies and toddlers)! They sell multiple different types of pajamas with different styles, climates and developmental ages in mind. My favorite is the Quilted Footie set. This pajama is warm, stretchy and cozy for our little guy. We use the quilted set with a light sleep sack during the winter and it keeps Baby very comfortable! They have long, form fitted arms which go down low enough to cover baby’s hands and keep them warm! The feet have little grips, allowing baby to stay in their pajamas on cooler days, without hindering their ability to practice walking!
Boon Grass Bottle Drying Rack
These are essential when dealing with the constant cleaning of bottles and pump parts. There are travel versions and accessories to go with it, perfect for hanging bottle nipples and smaller pumping parts. Just remember to run it through the dishwasher on occasion, because the tray just holds still water and can get a bit gross. Personally, to avoid this, I take the actual “grass” part off of the tray that it comes with, and place it right on a kitchen drying mat. This allows better airflow and drying!
Baby Bum Diaper Rash Cream Applicator
This little spatula is a life saver. It avoids the sticky mess of diaper rash cream under your nails, all over your hands, and realistically, then all over Baby’s clothes. There is a travel version as well that comes with its own carrying case, perfect for keeping in your diaper bag!
Baby Nail Scissors
As Baby’s nails grow quickly, it can sometimes be a daunting task to keep up with. As baby starts to explore and cozy up, they often scratch their faces and especially Mom, while nursing! Let’s be honest, baby manicures are at the top of the anxiety list of to-dos for new parents! Parents are often afraid that Baby will move or pull their finger away at the worst time, clipping the tip of their little finger with the sharp nail clippers. Even I do not use actual baby nail clippers!! Instead of spending time filing their nails as they scream, or putting mittens on them (this can cause developmental setbacks!), these scissors are a saving grace! You can see exactly what you’re doing, with a quick clip of each nail! Certainly a must-have!
I truly hope you enjoyed this edition of Maternity and Newborn Products of the Year!
