Background

I heard the word "Doula" and my passion for newborns and postpartum care, took off! I studied nursing and began focusing on labor and delivery. Working in hospitals, I began to notice a trend. Families were led to believe that the transition into parenthood is inevitably miserable. Their expectations of bringing a newborn home, were centered around sleep deprivation, difficult recoveries and seemingly nothing but anxiety ridden stories. I noticed Moms were constantly googling everything, only to become more confused and upset, thereafter. I found a trend of exhausted parents, doing whatever they could to get by each day, even if it meant involuntarily risking Baby’s safety. When the day came to leave the hospital, every parent had the same look on their face, the look of "you're letting ME take this little life home? Now what?". — Letting family after family go home without direction, was painful to say the least. So, I set out to expand my skills as a Baby Nurse, Doula and Lactation Support, growing my business, experience and education, in order to provide the highest level of in-home newborn and postpartum care, and parenting classes available.

Specializing in pregnancy through Baby’s 1st year, I am able to provide families with an unmatched level of care, to ensure each parent feels comfortable and confident in their journey. Three days of in-hospital care, just does not compare to the difference I am now making, confidently transitioning thousands of families into parenthood, Nationwide.

All Newborn Care Specialists working for Newborn Nites, have spent several hours, building experience and gaining valuable on the job knowledge, while apprenticing under the lead Advanced Certified Newborn Care Specialist & Baby Nurse, Miranda.
