Did you know, with proper sleep coaching & training, your baby could be sleeping 12 hours by 12 weeks old?!
how it works / what is sleep training?
As a Certified Sleep Trainer, I assess your baby’s sleep habits and needs during a sleep consultation and then implement a method that best fits the entire family. I find a method that you are comfort staying consistent with after I leave, while also focusing on what best fits your baby’s natural sleep rhythms and needs. Sleep training methods include but are not limited to, Ferber Method, Cry It Out, Routine Fading and more.
Whether you simply need guidance and a few questions answered, or you feel that you need consistent overnight assistance and adequate rest for yourself, there is great flexibility in this type of care. Sleep training services are offered via phone/email consultations or in home support. In home, overnight support is exceedingly the most popular option for both new and second time parents. This type of care can be a single consultation during nap time resulting in a drawn up plan for you to follow, or it can be as much as consistent overnight care for several weeks.
The simple sleep training package includes one week of support via phone/ email, a consultation to better understand why your baby is not sleeping so well, and a plan of action.
Sleep training is best suited for infants 8 weeks and older. Whether your child has gone through and has not bounced back from a sleep regression, or you are deciding to be proactive in your baby’s sleep, sleep training is something that will benefit both the parents and baby(ies).
Is Sleep coaching different?
Yes! Unlike Sleep Training, where a plan is immediately put into place, Sleep Coaching is a more gentle, less immediate way of getting your baby to sleep. Sleep Coaching is only suitable for newborns, starting their first night home from the hospital up to six weeks old. It directs baby into healthy sleep habits and self soothing techniques at the earliest possible chance. Teaching your baby to self-soothe and sleep in their own environment from night one, avoids the need for drastic sleep training and even limits the effects of sleep regressions.
All overnight newborn care includes sleep coaching. See Overnight Care for more info.
